This four-day, three-night itinerary is designed to give you the best of central Texas's wine and food scene. We'll add a brief exploration of the region's growing beer & spirits industries, but be sure to take a look at our longer Austin & San Antonio: Wine, Beer & Spirits tour itinerary for a real immersion. In exchange for a deep discount on a demo tour, guests will helps us vet new accommodations and producers.

Driskill hotel in Austin

Day 1: Welcome to Austin

We will meet you at Austin Bergstrom International Airport and provide transportation directly to your hotel, the iconic Driskill Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Austin. That evening you will be our guest on a private, chartered boat on Lady Bird Lake that runs through the middle of the city to see the famous Austin bats emerge from the South Congress Bridge. While aboard, we'll enjoy a catered dinner served with an assortment of hand-selected Texas wines. Our wine guide will give a brief presentation on the fundamentals of the region so that you are ready to enjoy the weekend's tastings.

Day 2: introduction to Texas wine, fredericksburg

After breakfast at your hotel, we will provide transportation on a deluxe motor coach to the Hill Country's famous 290 Wine Road. Texas winemaker and certified sommelier Rachel Wilson of Wine for the People will be our guide today, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at two to three of her favorite wineries. We will have lunch together in charming Fredericksburg and leave some time for you to enjoy the town on your own. After we arrive back in Austin you'll be free to explore the city on your own. We are happy to assist with recommendations and dinner reservations.

Day 3: Wine, Spirits, and . . . bbq, driftwood

After breakfast at your hotel, we will start our day with a private tasting and wine pairing at Antonelli's Cheese House. Next our deluxe motor coach will take us for a quick detour into the world of spirits with a private, distiller-led tour of one of Austin's many up-and-coming small-batch producers. Then we'll drop in on one of the region's most celebrated micro-breweries to enjoy a beer and a view of the Texas Hill Country. Finally we will make our way to the famous Salt Lick Barbecue. After visiting their wine shop, we will enjoy one last dinner together.

DAY 4: Departure

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and spend the morning enjoying downtown Austin. We will transport you back to Austin Bergstrom International Airport when it is time for you to depart. Or we can assist with booking accommodations and recommendations if you plan to continue your stay in Austin.

A demo trip is an opportunity for Uncharted Territories to visit new vendors. In exchange for discounted tour prices, guests will be asked to provide feedback to help us perfect our itineraries.
